Spiritual Practices: Breath Prayer

Overview
In the last verse of this passage, Paul talks about facing temptation. The first thing that we need to realize is that our temptations, our struggles, are not unique. The temptations we face are the same temptations other people have faced throughout all time. We will never face a temptation that God has not seen before. God will never be surprised by our struggles, our temptations, or our failings. The second thing we need to realize when we face temptation is that God is on our side. He is faithful to us even when we are tempted and he limits the amount of temptation we face. We may feel overwhelmed by our temptation but God believes that we can overcome the temptations that we face. The third thing we need to realize is that God provides a way of escape. If we turn to him and trust his guidance, he will show us a way through the temptation. He doesn't always take our temptation a way, but he gives us a way to handle it until it is no longer an issue for us. We need to turn to him for help when facing temptation instead of facing it on our own. That is what this breath prayer is about.
