Passage Introduction
This passage is Paul's introduction to his first letter to the church in Corinth. He is writing to address some specific, and fairly serious, problems in the church. Before he starts to deal with those issues, however, he starts by giving thanks for the Jesus followers in Corinth and talks about what Jesus has done in their lives. As you read through this passage, reflect on what Paul says Jesus has done for the Corinthians. Despite their problems, Jesus has still be active in their lives. Despite the challenges and problems we face, despite our weaknesses, Jesus as still be active in our lives.
