Spiritual Practices: Breath Prayer
Overview
Philip had been sharing the good news about Jesus Christ in Samaria and many people believed in Jesus because of his testimony. In the middle of this, God tells Philip to leave Samaria and head south toward Gaza. While on the road, Philip encounters the Ethiopian eunuch and shares the good news about Jesus with his as well. Philips interactions with the eunuch is a great example of how to share the gospel by the way. After his encounter with the eunuch, Philip is taken away by the Holy Spirit and finds himself in Azotus. Starting from there, he begins sharing the good news about Jesus in towns and villages on his was back to Caesarea. The point is that everywhere he went, Philip looked for opportunities to share Jesus with others. He wasn't confrontational, he wasn't aggressive or argumentative, look at his conversation with the eunuch to get a sense of his attitude, but he was always eager to share Jesus. In the same way, we should be ready, willing, and eager to share Jesus in the places and circumstances where we find ourselves. That is what this breath prayer is about.
