Living out the Text: Practical Christian living
In this passage, Paul is giving some instructions for Christian living to the Jesus followers in Colossae. He gives these as a series of quick directives without a lot of commentary. Here is a quick list of these instructions.

• Have compassionate hearts 
• Be kind
• Have humility
• Be meek
• Have patience
• Bear with and forgive each other
• Be filled with love
• Let the peace of Christ rule your hearts
• Be thankful
• Teach and encourage one another
• Sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs
• Do everything in the name of Jesus
• Give thanks to God the Father

Prayerfully look over this list and think about one of two of these that you can work on in the coming weeks. Don't just read through Paul's instructions, look for ways to live them out in your own life.
