Spiritual Practices: Singing our praise
Overview
In verses 5 and 6 of this passage, Isaiah tells us to sing and shout our praises to God because God has done great and glorious things and he is great in our midst. When we sing and praise God it takes our focus away from us and our problems and reminds us of the how great God is in our midst. This can help change our mindsets and help make us more aware of God's presence with us.
Practice
Make some time to praise God, It can be alone n your home, in the car, while on a walk, or with some friends. Make sure that you are in an environment where you will be able to focus on God and not be distracted by what is going on around you. Put on some of your favorite music and sing along with it. Let your singing and praising focus your attention on God and remind you of his greatness in our midst.
