Passage Introduction
The imagery of animal husbandry is not new in any sense in the scriptures; especially that of shepherding. I notice this text mentions three major points; the sheep aren’t being cared for as they should, they’ve been scattered due to neglectful shepherds, and the Lord is sending a righteous Shepherd to gather the flock back together in prosperity. This brings me hope and I look forward to all things being reconciled in a lost and divided world.
