Overview
As Malachi is prophesying about the coming of the Lord (Jesus) he talks about him coming as a refiner and purifier. We sometimes get concerned about language like this, but we really don't need to. When God refines and purifies us his intent is to make us better, stronger, healthier, and more like him. We can trust his refining work in our lives because we know that he loves us and wants the best for us. The purifying work of God is not something that we need to fear, but something we should look forward to and embrace. That is what this breath prayer is about.

Loving God, purify me and make me clean.
