Passage Introduction
This is one of Jesus' most famous parables, and one of the few that he explains. There are at least two different ways that we can look at this parable. We can look at it from the perspective of the sower, or farmer, From this perspective we can be encouraged and learn about sharing the Word of God with others. We can also look at it from the perspective of the soils. From this perspective we can be challenged to think about the way that we respond to the Word of God in our lives. As you read through this passage, consider it from both perspectives. Think about what you can learn about sharing your faith and what you can learn about responding to the Word of God.
