Suggested Verses
Restore our fortunes, O Lord,
like streams in the Negeb!
Those who sow in tears
shall reap with shouts of joy!
He who goes out weeping,
bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy,
bringing his sheaves with him.
(Psalm 126:4-6)

Spiritual Practices: Breath Prayer
Overview
We al go through difficult times, times it when it feels like everyone and everything is against us, times when we feel like we are in a metaphorical desert without any water. Maybe you have been through one of those times recently or maybe you are going through one right now. The writer of this psalm had either been through one of these experiences or was going through one when he wrote it. He reflected back on when God had restored Israel before (verses 1-3) and prayed that he would do it again (verses 4-6). When we are going through difficult times, we can join with the psalmist in his prayer for God's restoration. That is what this breath prayer is about.
Prayer
Oh Lord God, restore our fortunes
