Exploring the Text: Hope in God
The psalmist opens this passage saying, "Blessed is he ... whose hope is in the Lord his God." There are lots of things that people place their hope in; money, jobs, skills, and popularity just to name a few. Ultimately all of these things will disappoint us, however. The psalmist gives us lots of reasons to hope in God instead of anything else. Consider the following infographic and reflect on some of the reasons we have to place our hope in God alone.
