Spiritual Practices: Breath Prayer
Overview
In this passage of Romans, Paul is talking about God not having abandoned Israel. He wraps up the chapter talking about God having mercy on everyone. God never intended to love just one group or race of people. His intent is to love everyone equally. Paul emphasizes this in verse 32. Throughout Scripture, we see a plea for mercy, and here, we see God's desire to extend mercy to all. This traditional breath prayer is a reflection of this desire for mercy.
Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of David, have mercy on me.
